Brayan Jepone sat on the ground in the arena, his eyes fixated on his young son. It has only been 1 year and 8 months since the twins were born, and just before that was when Gemini had killed Jakobey... But Jakobey never really left, did he?
A smile crept onto his face, his son's imagination going wild as he sat and played in the sand with some wooden toys Brayan had just purchased for him. His twin sister was nowhere to be found, and neither was their mother. She disappeared with both children at first, only to send Clash, the male twin, back to Brayan with no note as of where he could find them.
He was beginning to understand why she'd done it. Why she'd sent Clash back. No matter how much Brayan loved the boy, he still found hit hard to look at him sometimes. He just looked like Soraine... Jakobey... so much.
Being cousins, it was only a given that they had many features that remained the same. If it wasn't for their difference in size, many may figure them to have been brothers or even twins. Jakobey was a little shorter, and much skinnier. Brayan had a lot of muscle on him and it showed. With that, the height difference and the black hair Jakobey had taken on, they looked completely different.
But the boy looked just like him. Jakobey. Even the hair was black, though Brayan saw no possible way Jakobey's shape-shifted hair color could have anything to do with Brayan's own son.
"Clash," Brayan laughed out as the boy started picking up and throwing sand around showing the word 'rain.' "Stop that, you're getting yourself filthy."
He pushed himself off of the ground and moved towards the boy, picking him up and brushing his bottom off. The boy "No!" the boy shouted, before starting to cry aloud and using his fists to smack Brayan's chest.
"Don't you hit me, boy." Brayan growled, the rumble coming out meaner than even he had wanted it to. But it had worked nonetheless, the boy stopped and just gave his father a cold stare.
Brayan sighed, and shook his head before swinging the boy above him and letting him ride on his shoulders as they made their way, father and son, back towards the tavern. |
